The Story

Autumn 2021: Oliwia, a forester, lives with her husband in the highly militarized exclusion zone between Poland and Belarus. At night, she provides food and water at the edge of the forest for refugees who are fighting for their lives in the forest. She has yet to meet anyone - until Hamid appears outside her window. Her decision to help him embroils her in a tragic struggle with a system that punishes humanity.

The musical idea

The loneliness of living in the woods, coupled with a certain unpreparedness that you never know what could possibly be watching you in the forest.
Some people who are so long in search of water that they see no other way than to knock on strangers' doors and hope that they get a glass.
I have tried to create this desire with resonating glasses, which give off a constant sound image through their vibration. By applying harder and weaker pressure, I was able to introduce distortion into the sound, which I felt created an ambience that fit the image and story.
Other happenings are supported by rising synth pads.
